National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management(NIFTEM) invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to B.Tech (Food Technology and Management) -2012-13
Under- Graduate Programme : Four Years regular B.Tech (Food Technology and Management) -2012-13
ELIGIBILITY & EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
1.The minimum qualification for admission is 60% marks in the examination of 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Examination or equivalent to examination, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and Biology (PCMB) subject.
2.The candidate must have appeared in the AIEEE-2012 exams.
3.Year of passing Qualifying Examination (QE)/XII Examination
A candidate must have passed10+2 or XII exam in 2010, 2011 or appearing/ passed in 2012.Candidates passed 10+2 or XII exam in 2009 or before are not eligible.
The qualifying examinations (QEs) are listed below:
a)Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by recognized Board/University.
b)Final Examination of the two-year course of the joint services wing of National Defence Academy.
c)General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
d)High School Certificate of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International BaccalaureateOffice, Geneva.
e)Any Public School/Board/University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of India Universities (AIU).
f)H.S.C vocational examination.
g)Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
Candidate should have completed age of 17 years on 31st December of the year of his/her admission.
NUMBER OF SEATS
There are 120 seats proposed for admission to B.Tech. (Food Technology & Mgmt) .
Reservation will be made as per Govt. of India norms.Relevant supporting documents must be required at the time of counseling.
5. HOW TO APPLY:
Interested candidates may apply in prescribed application form, downloadable from NIFTEM website, along with information brochure.The forma and the brochure can also be obtained by post on a written request made to the Admission Cell along with a DD of Rs. 350 towards brochure fee and postal charges. The duly filled in application form along with necessary enclosures and a non-refundable application fee of Rs.1000 (General) and Rs.500 (SC/ST) should be sent by registered/speed post/ in person to Head, Admission Cell, NIFTEM, Plot No.97, Sector 56, HSIIDC Industrial Estate, Kundli-131028, Distt. Sonepat, Harayana, so as to reach at the destination on or before 5p.m of 16.06.2012. Applications would be acceptable by 5 p.m of 23.06.2012 with a late fee of Rs.500,in addidtion to application fee. All DD should be in favour of 'NIFTEM' payable at SBI,Branch- NIFTEM Campus Kundli (Branch COde 15479)
